Rehab Co. Extension

Rehab Co. operates a busy occupational therapy business from its premises on the corner of Peter and Morgan Streets, central Wagga Wagga, NSW.

The clients wished to increase their staff capacity by extending their existing premises to house a new reception area, consulting rooms and a rehabilitation room.

Peter Street is within The Wagga Wagga Heritage Conservation Area and needed careful planning to ensure any additions were in sympathy with the surrounding environment and also complied with local council and Heritage requirements.

The design required the demolition of an existing rear skillion extension and new additions to fill the entire south / west corner of the site.

The challenge presented in this project was roofing the new building while still maintaining the original roofline. The result was a hip & valley roof nestled in behind the existing building, barely visible from the front of the premises.

New Colorbond roofing, sills, lintels and trims to match existing all combine to create new functional premises that compliments the existing building.
