The Tourist Hotel

The Tourist Hotel is located in Fitzmaurice Street, Wagga Wagga, an area enjoying recent refurbishment to some of Wagga's earliest buildings.

The building is Art Deco in style and Icono was engaged to update the dark and uninviting interior and building façade to regain the Australian charm and style of the pub. 

The street frontage was opened up with the installation of timber & glass bifold doors and windows, thus allowing much needed light to flood into the front bar. A new Spotted Gum Australian hardwood floor was installed to complement the original timber bar, which has been refurbished to accommodate new bar equipment and a more efficient service area.

New ceilings with recessed downlighting with stone linings and refurbished timber mantels to the existing fireplaces have created a warm and cosy ambience.

A new paint colour scheme throughout the interior and exterior along with new furnishings and signage has created an inviting and vibrant atmosphere. A new lease of life for an old Wagga pub that is now buzzing.
