RockFactory Batemans Bay

The RockFactory music store fitout is in the new Stockland Shopping Mall in the centre of Batemans Bay. This fitout, completed in 2004, was the second in a rollout of the new store image for this growing music chain. The first fitout for the new image (by Icono) was completed in the Sturt Mall Wagga Wagga. Using the style created in Wagga, we developed the image further in this much smaller store.

This 76m² fitout included an office with computer desk, storage and a kitchenette, service counter and open retail space. The small size of the tenancy ensured careful planning was needed to accommodate the staff area and also leave room for circulation around the display racks. Bulkheads, wall projections and contrasting colours were used to add interest throughout the store. Large areas of white were also used to as a background to the colourful music posters and wall mounted light boxes. A striking orange 2 pac finish was used for the entry portal with Illuminated signage mounted on an aluminium sheet lined back panel.

As the sale of DVDs is a big part of the store sales, a plasma TV screen is mounted on the wall to catch the attention of the passing shoppers.
